Salmon for Soldiers
Salmon for soldiers is a non-profit organization that takes veterans out fishing. Through this experience veterans are able to gain some sort of normalcy and relaxation through fishing and spending time out on the water. We support this organization by donating gear and money.
We work with local fishing guides Cary Hoffman of CNH Guides as well as John Theil of Alpha Angler Charters. They test out our products and give us feedback to ensure we are delivering the absolute best products to the fishermen we provide for. We also work with the boat Captain Midnight to ensure as many people as possible are testing the products and that they meet the specifications of a variety of fishermen.
We cut, form, and package the Wooldridge River Rat kits which are the base for a 12' mini jet boat. These can go in as little as three inches of water! You are provided with the metal that is pre-formed as well as instructions to weld the kit. You can either weld the kit yourself or hire someone to do so for you. Many custom options are available.
Since these kits provide an excellent learning opportunity for those learning to weld, we are providing kits for high school students in the Core Plus Program- a program that provides students with hands on learning experiences in areas of manufacturing.
